CIWP offers several programs to help participants make healthy choices; these programs range from in
individualized goals of tracking food consumption and exercise to group activities like the office-wide Biggest Loser contests. In addition to making healthier choices, CIWP offers classes in healthy selection and preparation of healthy foods.
Example: A participant would like to lose 30 lbs. As part of his support plan he has an objective to track what he eats, how much water he drinks, and how much he exercises each day; at the end of the week he weighs himself and reviews the choices he’s made to see what, if anything, he should do differently. He also has an objective of learning to cook healthy foods. Each week he goes to the library to find a recipe. Then he and his group plan out the shopping list, go to the store to purchase the ingredients, and finally follow the recipe to cook a meal.
